International Congregational Partnerships

I have recently began to research the growing phenomenon of congregations who are engaging in long term partnerships with either another congregation or an area outside of the U.S. This aspect of mission is a different way of mission involvement and represents a possible shift in mission participation and mission giving. I am projecting to look at this more closely through a study of 5-8 specific congregations which I will begin researching around July/August, 2011. As an initial step, however, I have a conducted a study within the Church of the Nazarene just to get an idea of the scope of congregational partnerships within a specific denomination.
